ГThe main character of the young, charismatic and ambitious Vlad Shevchuk is desperately pursuing the dream of making a career in a London court. Dreams don't come true as the man becomes paranoid. After a series of troubles, he is left alone with the dog of his brother Lenya, and the owner of the pet himself unfairly ended up behind bars.
Shevchuk gets down to business in order to defend his brother's stained honor: he takes Lenya's place at the police station to find out who the brother crossed the road to.

It seems to Vlad that his brain has gone to one side, because the dog named Jack turns out to be not only a faithful friend, but also a wonderful companion. The clever four-legged offers non-standard ideas and in every possible way helps the hero to unravel the matter. The dog turns out to be more human and smarter than some people, but often the dialogues with the shaggy assistant seem to be sheer delirium and hallucination.

Perhaps human speech from the lips of a dog is just the voice of conscience, which he lost in the pursuit of success? On the way to unraveling the tangled history of these two, there are many unexpected twists and turns. How will the partners get along with each other and will the brother, together with his faithful friend, free the brother?
