ДThe action of the film takes place back in 1985. Then another fire brigade employee, senior lieutenant Grisha Vershinin, painfully experiences parting with a girl, Victoria, who left him because of the head physician of the local health care institution Samoilov.
But, at one moment everything will change - in a fire in the building of the children's library, one of the employees, Olga, almost died. By a happy coincidence, Gregory carries her out of the burning building. Soon, strong feelings appear between young people, which lead to the formation of a family.
After 9 months, 2 boys appear in the Vershinin family, whom Olga gave birth to Grigory.
But, on the night of the birth of the children, Olga's former beloved, who is the head of the maternity hospital, appears on the way of Olga. Not so long ago, the daughter of the 1st secretary of the regional committee, Irina, gave birth to a weak child in the maternity hospital, whom it was not possible to save, but this information is still unknown to anyone.
Victoria faces a difficult choice: to find a child for the daughter of the regional committee secretary or to say goodbye to her career. After painful thoughts, Victoria goes to the room where the Vershinins' twins are. Will Olga be able to feel that something was wrong? What will happen to Victoria after her secret is revealed? All this in the film.
